On your ‘Dawn ‘til Dusk Tour’ Nigel Forster will take you to see stunning landscapes, give you personal tuition on photographic technique and composition all in the space of one unforgettable day. These options are available in both the Brecon Beacons and Pembrokeshire Coast National Parks.
These trips are very flexible; all you need to do in addition to our usual courses is to either get up early, stay out late or both!
For the really adventurous, during the summer months you can plan your course to take in the evening light and a catch a sunset and be up at dawn to catch the sunrise and early morning light.
By necessity the timings of these days will vary according to the time of year you book the course. As an example, if you wish to catch the sunrise in the Brecon Beacons, your day will consist of: getting up early (and very early in summer!)
OUTDOOR SESSION 1 - Drive to a viewpoint or climb up Pen y Fan, Sugar Loaf or a familiar Brecon Beacons Mountain (whether walking or driving - it’s your choice!) before dawn to get there in plenty of time for sunrise*
We’ll go to 2-3 locations taking around 2 hours taking pictures & learning techniques:
• Well earned break!
• Studio based tutorial session – about 90 minutes
OUTDOOR SESSION 2 – Drive to 2-3 more locations to practise techniques learnt during the tutorial session. Back to the studio for a couple of hours to do image processing and printing for a finish early to mid-afternoon.
During the short winter days it is possible to organise the day to be out early and back late.
At the end of the day you will have seen some epic vistas, have learned how to and have taken some stunning images and be on your way home with personalised prints of your hard day’s work in your hand.
(*Please note that due to the uncertainties of catching the light that we want for dawn ‘til dusk options, you will need to be flexible and willing to change dates at short notice. We will keep a close eye on the weather forecasts and advise accordingly.)
Prices for Dawn ‘til Dusk tours start at the standard date rate of £175 / £225 two people:

For catching the sunset only; £175 / £225 (the standard day cost) this is simply a matter of changing timings for the standard day option

For sunrise: add £25 to the standard day making £200 / £250 total

Dawn until Dusk (winter months only - Nov to Feb) approx. 6-7am to 5-6pm): cost - £225 / £275

Dusk until Dawn (summer months (April – September): approx. 5pm to 9-10pm on day one (starting with the studio based tutorial session) and from approx.. 4-5am to 7-8am on day two with an additional studio based image processing session later in the day to suit you: cost - £250 / £300
